‎MANAGEMENT OF STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISES: THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE TAKES A FIRM STAND WITH THE SEGA AUDIT

‎

‎It was an unusual ceremony, but one rich in significance. This morning in the conference room of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), the Prime Minister and Head of Government, His Excellency Félix MOLOUA, presided over the official presentation ceremony for SEGA’s operational audit report.

‎At his side were the Minister of Livestock and Animal Health and the Minister in Charge of Oversight of the Para-Public Sector. Facing them were the guardians of good governance in the Republic: the President of the Economic and Social Council, the President of the High Authority for Good Governance, and the President of the Court of Auditors. The message was clear: the government is now keeping a close eye on the management of all state-owned companies.

‎On the agenda was an uncompromising presentation of the management and operations of SEGA by the private company DIBRO SERVICE, the contractor awarded the contract.

‎And the findings are damning.

‎This state-commissioned audit revealed a massive financial irregularity, numerous technical non-compliances, and, above all, management deemed opaque. There were serious and repeated breaches of the terms of the operating contract.

‎The report was officially submitted to the Prime Minister, Head of Government.

‎

‎But the rule of law remains our guiding principle.

‎Since DIBRO SERVICE filed a motion challenging the audit, the Head of Government, in the interest of fairness, has granted the company a two-week period to present counterevidence.

‎Once this 14-day period has elapsed, the case will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for further action.

‎A clear message has been sent to all those who manage public funds: the time for accountability and good governance has come. Impunity is over.

‎No one will manage state assets as if they were a private business anymore.
