L’esplanade du building administratif à Bangui a abrité ce 28 Août 2026 la cérémonie de lancement officiel de la brigade mobile de contrôle du ministère du commerce.
La cérémonie a été placée sous le haut patronage du Premier Ministre, Chef du Gouvernement monsieur Félix MOLOUA qui a été accueilli à son arrivée par le ministre du commerce et de l’industrie monsieur Maxime BALALOU. Quelques membres du gouvernement, les acteurs du monde des affaires ainsi que le personnel du ministère du commerce y ont aussi assisté.
Fruit de la réflexion menée durant le séminaire gouvernemental du mois de Juin dernier et qui a débouché sur la recommandation numéro 64 , la brigade mobile de contrôle (BMC) a été instituée par un arrêté du ministre du commerce. Elle vise à créer un environnement commercial sain et à protéger les consommateurs contre l’abus de certains commerçants véreux qui créent l’inflation sur le marché pour bénéficier sur le dos de la population.
Prenant la parole à cette occasion, le Premier Ministre a félicité l’équipe dirigeante de la brigade et l’a instruit à donner satisfaction non seulement au gouvernement, mais également aux consommateurs en travaillant professionnellement pour contrôler les prix sur le marché, faire respecter les directives du gouvernement, appliquer les directives administratives… avant de les renvoyer dans l’exercice de leurs responsabilités.
Enfin, le Chef du Gouvernement a remis les clés de deux véhicules offerts par la Banque mondiale à travers le projet I-COMPETE au Chef du département du commerce qui, à son tour, a remis au commandant de la brigade mobile de contrôle.
La transformation, telle que définie par le Président de la République, Chef de l’État Son Excellence Pr Faustin Archange TOUADERA dans son discours d’investiture du 30 Mars dernier, n’est plus un vain mot. Le lancement de la BMC est un signal fort lancé à l’endroit de tous les commerçants véreux qui créent la pénurie afin de faire vivre misérablement la population centrafricaine. Le gouvernement centrafricain ne va plus tolérer cela. Seuls les prix homologués par le ministère du commerce seront désormais appliqués sur le marché. Tout cela est fait afin d’améliorer les conditions de vie de la population centrafricaine.

LAUNCH OF THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE’S MOBILE INSPECTION BRIGADE IN BANGUI
On August 28, 2026, the plaza in front of the administrative building in Bangui hosted the official launch ceremony for the Ministry of Commerce’s mobile inspection brigade.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Mr. Félix MOLOUA, who was greeted upon his arrival by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Maxime BALALOU. Several members of the government, business leaders, and staff from the Ministry of Commerce also attended.
The result of discussions held during the government seminar last June—which led to Recommendation No. 64—the Mobile Inspection Brigade (BMC) was established by a decree issued by the Minister of Commerce. It aims to create a healthy commercial environment and protect consumers from the abuses of certain unscrupulous merchants who drive up inflation in the market to profit at the expense of the population.
Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister congratulated the brigade’s leadership team and instructed them to satisfy not only the government but also consumers by working professionally to monitor market prices, enforce government directives, and implement administrative guidelines… before sending them back to carry out their duties.
Finally, the Head of Government presented the keys to two vehicles donated by the World Bank through the I-COMPETE project to the Head of the Department of Commerce, who, in turn, handed them over to the commander of the mobile inspection brigade.
Transformation, as defined by the President of the Republic and Head of State, His Excellency Prof. Faustin Archange TOUADERA, in his inauguration speech on March 30, is no longer just an empty phrase. The launch of the BMC sends a strong message to all unscrupulous merchants who create shortages in order to force the Central African people to live in poverty. The Central African government will no longer tolerate this. Only prices approved by the Ministry of Commerce will henceforth be applied in the market. All of this is being done to improve the living conditions of the Central African people.
