LES ADIEUX DU REPRÉSENTANT RÉSIDENT SORTANT DE LA BANQUE MONDIALE AU PREMIER MINISTRE

Arrivé en fin de mission en Centrafrique après y avoir passé 4 ans, c’est aujourd’hui 26 Août 2026 que le représentant résident sortant de la Banque mondiale en Centrafrique monsieur Guido RURWANGA est venu faire ses adieux au Premier Ministre, Chef du Gouvernement monsieur Félix MOLOUA.

C’était un instant très particulier pour les deux personnalités qui se connaissent depuis plus de 4 ans et qui ont travaillé main dans la main depuis Juillet 2022, date de prise des services de monsieur RURWANGA en Centrafrique.

L’occasion a aussi permis de faire un tour d’horizon du portefeuille de la banque du temps où le représentant résident sortant prenait fonction.

De $ 750 millions en 2022, le portefeuille de la feuille a doublé pour être aujourd’hui à $ 1,5 milliards avec de nombreux projets en cours d’exécution qui touchent divers domaines en allant des infrastructures en passant par l’éducation, l’agriculture et la digitalisation.

C’est un travail de titan qui a été mené en 4 ans de service en terre centrafricaine.

Monsieur Guido RURWANGA s’en va après avoir aidé positivement la RCA à se relancer et à se mettre résolument sur la voie de son développement à travers de nombreux financements obtenus auprès du conseil d’administration de la Banque mondiale. Il va rejoindre l’équipe de l’institution financière internationale à Washington DC.

Pour ses loyaux services auprès de la République Centrafricaine, le Président de la République, Chef de l’État Son Excellence Pr Faustin Archange TOUADERA lui a remis la cravate de commandeur dans l’ordre de reconnaissance.

THE OUTGOING WORLD BANK RESIDENT REPRESENTATIVE’S FAREWELL TO THE PRIME MINISTER

Having completed his four-year assignment in the Central African Republic, the outgoing World Bank Resident Representative in the Central African Republic, Mr. Guido RURWANGA, came today, August 26, 2026, to bid farewell to the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Mr. Félix MOLOUA.

It was a very special moment for the two leaders, who have known each other for more than four years and have worked closely together since July 2022, when Mr. RURWANGA took up his post in the Central African Republic.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to review the Bank’s portfolio since the outgoing Resident Representative assumed his duties.

From $750 million in 2022, the bank’s portfolio has doubled to $1.5 billion today, with numerous projects currently underway spanning various sectors, ranging from infrastructure to education, agriculture, and digitalization.

This has been a monumental effort carried out over four years of service in the Central African Republic.

Mr. Guido RURWANGA is leaving after having played a key role in helping the CAR get back on its feet and set itself firmly on the path to development through numerous funding packages secured from the World Bank’s Board of Directors. He will be joining the team at the international financial institution in Washington, D.C.

In recognition of his loyal service to the Central African Republic, the President of the Republic and Head of State, His Excellency Prof. Faustin Archange TOUADERA, presented him with the Commander’s sash of the Order of Recognition.
