PATRIOTIC MONDAY AT THE MINISTRY OF ARTS, CULTURE, AND TOURISM: THE PRIME MINISTER ENCOURAGES STAFF TO WORK FOR THE REPUBLIC
Prime Minister and Head of Government Félix MOLOUA presided over the flag-raising ceremony at the Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Tourism on November 2. He was greeted upon his arrival by Mrs. Gina LAWSON ROSALEM, Minister of Arts, Culture, and Tourism.
After taking his place near the flagpole flying the national flag, the ceremony began, led by law enforcement officers assigned to the department.
The national anthem was sung by the National Artistic Ensemble (EAN) with brilliance and grandeur in Sango, one of the country’s official languages. The melody of the verses created sounds that were pleasing to the ear and an exceptional sense of patriotism at today’s colorful ceremony.
Taking the floor for the occasion—as he does in every department he visits—the Head of Government, on behalf of the President of the Republic and Head of State, greeted all civil servants and state employees in the department who participate in this national observance every Monday morning. And as he does every Monday, he chose work—one of the Republic’s core values—to inspire the participants at this gathering. For him, work is the best way for everyone to prosper and help the country develop. Because the work done by the government is “for all those who live within the national territory… They expect everyone’s efforts to provide water, electricity, healthcare infrastructure, and school facilities to educate their children…” In short, thanks to this work, “milk and honey can flow in this beautiful country.”
He concluded by encouraging everyone to work together in unity so that “we can move mountains.”
