DIPLOMATIC DAY AT THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, began his workday with two meetings with diplomatic officials accredited to the Central African Republic: the chargé d’affaires of the French Embassy in the Central African Republic and the Sudanese Ambassador to the Central African Republic.

The first meeting held by Prime Minister and Head of Government Félix MOLOUA on September 10 was with Mrs. Marie PARET, Chargé d’Affaires of the French Embassy in the Central African Republic. The French diplomat came to introduce to the Head of Government the new Country Director of the French Development Agency (AFD), Mrs. Radhia OUDJANI. She was recently appointed to lead the French institution responsible for development worldwide.

The second meeting was held with the Sudanese Ambassador to the Central African Republic, His Excellency Bushra Ahmed IDRIS.

Strengthening bilateral ties between the Central African Republic and Sudan was on the agenda for this meeting.

Upon leaving the meeting, the Sudanese diplomat told reporters at the Prime Minister’s Office that he had come to brief the Head of Government of the Central African Republic on the progress of the peace process in Sudan, which has enabled Sudanese authorities to establish themselves in the capital, Khartoum. The Sudanese people are now preparing for a peace dialogue.

It is important to note that the Central African authorities have always supported peace in Sudan, and the announcement of the upcoming peace dialogue in that sister nation can only be welcomed by the Head of Government. The Central African Republic has always advocated for peace in that African country, with which it shares a long border.
