Le Premier Ministre, Chef du Gouvernement monsieur Félix MOLOUA a assisté ce 12 Août 2026 aux côtés du Président de la République, Chef de l’État Son Excellence Pr Faustin Archange TOUADERA, à la cérémonie de la première injection de 15 MW d’énergie produite à Sakaï 2 dans le 2eme arrondissement de la commune de Bimbo dans le réseau de la compagnie nationale de production d’énergie en Centrafrique Enerca Caf.
La centrale solaire de Sakaï 2 est financée par le Groupe South Utilities ( GSU) des Emirats Arabes Unis et la maîtrise d’ouvrage a été assurée par la cellule stratégique des grands travaux de la Présidence de la République.
Le projet vise à produire 65 MW à terme et touchera 300 000 foyers.
Des dires du ministre conseiller à la présidence de la République chargé des grands travaux monsieur Pascal Bida KOYAGBELE , « les habitants du Km 5 expérimentent depuis une semaine déjà la régularité du courant électrique dans les ménages. »
Il est important de rappeler que depuis son accession à la magistrature suprême du pays, le Président Faustin Archange TOUADERA a fait de la question de l’électrification du pays son cheval de bataille. Il veut absolument répondre aux besoins complets d’accès à l’électricité pour toute la population. Ce qui aidera le pays à s’engager sur la voie de son industrialisation.
L’injection des 15 MW de ce jour dans le réseau de l’ENERCA participe à cette lutte d’électrification de la République Centrafricaine.

FIRST FEED-IN OF SOLAR POWER FROM SAKAÏ 2 INTO THE ENERCA GRID
On August 12, 2026, Prime Minister and Head of Government Mr. Félix MOLOUA attended, alongside the President of the Republic, Head of State His Excellency Prof. Faustin Archange TOUADERA, at the ceremony marking the first feed-in of 15 MW of energy generated at Sakaï 2 in the 2nd district of the municipality of Bimbo into the grid of the Central African Republic’s national power generation company, Enerca CAF.
The Sakaï 2 solar power plant is financed by the South Utilities Group (GSU) of the United Arab Emirates, and project management was handled by the Strategic Unit for Major Projects of the Office of the President of the Republic.
The project aims to eventually generate 65 MW and will serve 300,000 households.
According to Mr. Pascal Bida KOYAGBELE, Minister-Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic in charge of major projects, » residents of Km 5 have been experiencing a steady supply of electricity in their homes for the past week. »
It is important to note that since assuming the country’s highest office, President Faustin Archange TOUADERA has made the issue of the country’s electrification his top priority. He is determined to fully meet the entire population’s needs for access to electricity, which will help the country embark on the path to industrialization.
Today’s injection of 15 MW into the ENERCA grid is contributing to the effort to bring electricity to the Central African Republic.
