La cérémonie officielle de lancement de la rentrée académique universitaire 2025-2026 s’est tenue ce mercredi 22 octobre 2025 à l’Université de Bangui, sous le haut patronage du Président de la République, Chef de l’État, le Professeur Faustin Archange TOUADÉRA, en présence du Premier Ministre, Chef du Gouvernement, Monsieur Félix MOLOUA.

À cette occasion, le Chef de l’État a procédé à la pose de la première pierre de deux nouveaux bâtiments pédagogiques de la Faculté des Sciences Économiques et de Gestion (FASEG), chacun d’une capacité de mille places, marquant ainsi une nouvelle étape dans la modernisation des infrastructures universitaires du pays.
Ce projet d’envergure s’inscrit dans le cadre du Programme d’Appui à la Reconstruction des Communautés de Base – Phase II (PARCB-2), fruit d’une coopération fructueuse entre la République Centrafricaine et la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD).
Le nouveau bloc pédagogique moderne à deux niveaux (R+2), pour un coût global de 456 millions de francs CFA, comprendra : des salles de cours équipées, des espaces de conférences modernes, ainsi que des bureaux administratifs fonctionnels.
Prévu pour une durée de huit mois de travaux, ce chantier illustre la volonté du Gouvernement de renforcer les capacités d’accueil et d’offrir un environnement propice à l’excellence académique et scientifique.
« Investir dans l’éducation, c’est investir dans l’avenir de notre Nation. Ce chantier symbolise notre volonté de doter la jeunesse centrafricaine d’outils modernes pour bâtir le développement du pays », a déclaré le Chef de l’État dans son discours de circonstance et a rappelé que ce projet s’inscrit pleinement dans sa vision politique fondée sur la reconstruction du capital humain et la promotion du savoir comme moteur du développement durable.
La cérémonie, à la fois solennelle et empreinte d’émotion, a rassemblée de nombreuses personnalités, les partenaires ainsi que des étudiants, enseignants et invités de marque.
Les responsables académiques par la voix du Recteur ont unanimement salué ce geste hautement symbolique du Chef de l’État, qualifié de tournant historique pour la FASEG, témoignant d’un renouveau tangible du système universitaire centrafricain.
Depuis plusieurs années, le Chef de l’État place la formation de la jeunesse et la reconstruction du système éducatif national au cœur de son action politique.
Après la réhabilitation d’établissements scolaires, la création de nouveaux programmes de formation et le renforcement des capacités des enseignants, cette nouvelle initiative à la FASEG vient consolider la dynamique de modernisation et d’équité dans l’accès au savoir.
La cérémonie a pris fin dans un moment convivial et la visite guidée des stands.
Par cette vision durable, le Chef de l’État réaffirme son ambition de faire de l’Université de Bangui un pôle d’excellence régional, capable de former les cadres compétents dont la République Centrafricaine a besoin pour son développement économique et social.

The official ceremony to launch the 2025-2026 academic year was held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the University of Bangui, under the patronage of the President of the Republic, Head of State, Professor Faustin Archange TOUADÉRA, in the presence of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Mr. Félix MOLOUA.
The Government reaffirms its commitment to modern, high-quality higher education
On this occasion, the Head of State laid the foundation stone for two new teaching buildings at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FASEG), each with a capacity of 1,000 students, marking a new stage in the modernization of the country’s university infrastructure.
This major project is part of the Support Program for the Reconstruction of Grassroots Communities – Phase II (PARCB-2), the result of fruitful cooperation between the Central African Republic and the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The new modern two-story teaching block, at a total cost of 456 million CFA francs, will include: equipped classrooms, modern conference spaces, and functional administrative offices.
Scheduled to take eight months to complete, this project illustrates the government’s commitment to increasing capacity and providing an environment conducive to academic and scientific excellence.
“Investing in education means investing in the future of our nation. This project symbolizes our desire to provide Central African youth with modern tools to build the country’s development,” said the Head of State in his speech, noting that this project is fully in line with his political vision based on rebuilding human capital and promoting knowledge as a driver of sustainable development.
The ceremony, both solemn and emotional, brought together many dignitaries, partners,
students, teachers, and distinguished guests.
Academic leaders, speaking through the Rector, unanimously praised this highly symbolic gesture by the Head of State, describing it as a historic turning point for FASEG and evidence of a tangible renewal of the Central African university system.
For several years, the Head of State has placed the education of young people and the reconstruction of the national education system at the heart of his political agenda.
Following the renovation of schools, the creation of new training programs, and the strengthening of teachers’ capacities, this new initiative at FASEG consolidates the momentum toward modernization and equity in access to knowledge.
The ceremony ended on a convivial note with a guided tour of the stands.
Through this sustainable vision, the Head of State reaffirms his ambition to make the University of Bangui a regional center of excellence, capable of training the skilled professionals that the Central African Republic needs for its economic and social development.
